Located in the southwest coast region of the continent of Africa is Namibia one of the ten countries in the world that start with the letter "N". Even though Namibia is the world’s 34th largest country with an area of 318,772 square miles, it is the second least populated in the world. Namibia is bordered by South Africa, Zambia, Angola, Botswana, and the Atlantic Ocean. The country’s largest and capital city is Windhoek which has about 300,000 residents. Nauru

Located only 26 miles from the equator is the small pleasant Island of Nauru located in the southern region of the Pacific Ocean in the continent of Oceania. Covering a total area of 8.1 square miles, Nauru is the world’s third smallest country by area after the Vatican City and the principality of Monaco. The island country now officially called the Republic of Nauru was once known as Pleasant Island. Although the country does not have an official capital city, Yaren acts as its capital.

New Zealand

Located about 900 miles east of Australia is the island country of New Zealand found in the continent of Oceania, the country’s capital city is Wellington. It was one of the last lands to be occupied by human beings because of its remoteness. Thus there are more sheep in the country than people. The country has a population of 4,836,520 people and a total area of 103,483 square miles. The official languages spoken in New Zealand include English, NZ Sign, and Maori.

Nicaragua

Officially the Republic of Nicaragua, the country is located in Central America. At 50,338 square miles, it is the largest country in Central America. It is bordered by Honduras to the north and Costa Rica to the south, as well as by the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The country had a population of just over 6 million as of 2012, with the largest and capital city being Managua. The official language is Spanish.

Niger

Niger is also known as The Niger and officially the Republic of the Niger. Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria, located in Western Africa, is the 14th largest country in Africa with a total land area of 356,669 square miles. It shares land borders with Niger to the north, Chad and Cameroon to the east, and Benin to the west. To the south, it is bordered by the Gulf of Guinea. English is the official language, although Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba are major languages within the country. The country boasted a population of almost 140.5 million in 2012. Due to Nigeria's large population and economy, it is often called the "Giant of Africa."

North Korea

Officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea is found in the northern portion of the Korean Peninsula with a total area of 120,540 km2. It is bordered by Russia, China, and South Korea, as well as by the Yellow Sea, Korea Bay, and the Sea of Japan. Pyongyang is both the country's capital city and largest city. The country is run by a totalitarian dictatorship under the ideology of national self-reliance known as "Juche". Much of the country experiences a humid continental climate with hot, rainy summers.

Norway
