Truth or Consequences, a uniquely-named town in southern New Mexico, is a wellness‑oriented community that provides the perfect setting for a stress-free getaway. Built around a system of hot springs, residents and visitors in this small town love relaxing at the bathhouses built along the mineral-filled warm waters of the springs, and many of the hotels in the area have their own hot springs for guests. One such accommodation option is Riverbend Hot Springs, a resort on the Rio Grande that provides spa and soaking facilities in a charming setting. You can also walk around the Historic Hot Springs Bathhouse and Commercial Historic District to see examples of early bathhouses and historic architecture.
