Walton inherited his billions from his father, John Walton, the son of Sam Walton, who was the founder of Walmart. In 2015, John Walton was killed in a plane crash, after which his son Lukas reportedly inherited a third of his fortune. Lukas Walton is just 34 years of age and has a net worth of $18.8 billion.

Murphy is the co-founder of a social media company, Snap Inc., which is the maker of the popular smartphone app, Snapchat. He created the app along with his fraternity brother, Evan Spiegel while attending Stanford University. The California native now serves as the company’s chief technology officer and has a net worth of $3.7 billion. He is just 32 years of age.

8. Patrick Collison

Collison is the co-founder of Stripe, a company that manages online payments. He is now the company’s CEO and has a net worth of $3.2 billion. Like Bobby Murphy and Evan Spiegal, Patrick Collison co-created Stripe while studying in university; MIT, to be exact. He is 32 years old.

Spiegel is the other co-founder of Snap Inc. He is now the company’s CEO. At 29 years of age, he is one of only three self-made billionaires in the world under the age of 30. It looks like he’ll be living better than his parents though, as he has a net worth of $3.7 billion.

John Collison is the other co-founder of Stripe. He is also Patrick Collison’s brother. Although now coming upon his 30th birthday, he was just 19 years old when he and his brother began developing Stripe. At the age of 27, he was the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Today, his net worth is $3.2 billion.
