Ontario
Ontario Flag

DESCRIPTION
The flag of Ontario was officially adopted in 1965.
Like the Manitoba flag it recalls and preserves the original Canadian Red Ensign, one featuring a bright red field and the Union Jack. The Ontario shield shown was the first flag design in Canada to feature a maple leaf. The red cross of St. George tops that shield.
