Often called the “Little Switzerland” of Utah, Midway is a mountain town in Heber Valley known for its Swiss heritage and alpine-style architecture. Set along the Wasatch Back mountain range, Midway's downtown is framed by its dramatic mountain scenery. Right on Main Street, stop by Kringles Midway, a unique year-round Christmas store. Just outside the shop, visitors can take in scenic views of the surrounding mountains and hills from nearly every corner of Midway’s main street.

Midway is also home to the Homestead Crater, a one-of-a-kind geothermal hot spring. This 10,000-year-old natural wonder is a 55-foot-deep, beehive-shaped limestone dome filled with mineral-rich water that stays above 90 degrees year-round. Reached through a 110-foot tunnel, the crater offers swimming, soaking, snorkeling, and even scuba diving and is the only warm-water dive site in the continental United States.

Cedar City

Downtown Cedar City, Utah, offers a historic atmosphere set against the dramatic backdrop of nearby red rock canyons and mountain peaks. Known as the gateway to some of the West’s most iconic national parks, Cedar City is one of Utah's prettiest main streetscapes.

This small town of Helper, Utah, is surrounded by scenic canyons, most notably Spring Canyon and Price Canyon. Just north of downtown Helper, Price Canyon is situated at the mouth of the Price River, with access to Price Canyon Recreation Area, serving as a popular spot for hiking with campgrounds, picnic areas and trails. Check out the trail located right along the Price River, the Helper Riverwalk, a scenic 2-mile pathway for a relaxing stroll.

Once a bustling railroad and coal settlement is now a community based around art and creativity. This historic railroad and coal-mining town earned its name for the "helper" engines that assisted trains up the steep Price Canyon. Stop at the Helper Museum on Main Street to hear about the stories of people who worked in the underground mines between 1880 and 1950, after discovering vast coal deposits in Castle Gate. Afterwards, head north on S Main Street to Happiness Within for local coffee right in the heart of Helper's adorable downtown.

Kanab

Nicknamed “Little Hollywood,” Kanab is a scenic southern Utah town surrounded by towering red rock cliffs and desert landscapes. Kanab was a prominent spot for Western films in the 1940s and 1950s, with over 100 movies and shows filmed in the town. Head over to Little Hollywood Land: Museum, Trading Post & Chuckwagon Cookout on Center Street to experience Kanab's historic museum featuring iconic movie sets and a variety of Hollywood memorabilia.

Main Street shows off its western vibe with colorful storefronts, perfect for a stroll through local coffee shops and boutiques. Stop by Willow Canyon Outdoor for an exciting mix of local coffee, books, and apparel, all in a small western building just off the main road.
