A narwhal is a type of whale whose canine tooth protrudes from its mouth to form a tusk. The animal lives in the Arctic region throughout the year. The narwhal is a mid-sized whale whose average body length ranges from 13 feet to 18 feet. The animal’s weight varies between 1760 and 3520 pounds. It uses its tusk as a sensory organ and for communication with other narwhals in the seawater environment. The narwhal feeds on Arctic creatures such as cuttlefish, squid, shrimp, and the Greenland halibut. Narwhals have a habit of congregating in groups of five to ten animals or even larger groups of up to 500 narwhals in the summer.
A neddicky is a bird found in most African countries such as Rwanda, Tanzania, Gabon, and South Africa. The bird lives in open plantations, woodlands, and in savannahs. It has a dull brown color with brown eyes and a short bill. The bird makes its nest out of dry grass from the woodlands. The neddicky feeds on tiny insects found in the bushes and beneath trees.
The Nene is a colorful bird native to the Hawaiian Islands. It is also referred to as the Hawaiian goose. It is a mid-sized goose that stands at the height of 16 inches. It generally weighs between 3.3 and 5.5 pounds. It has a black face while the body is brown and gray. It is mainly found in plains, grasslands, and shrublands. The bird has relatively long legs that enable it to run in rough terrain. The Nene is able to fly, and feeds on wild berries, flowers, seeds, fruits, and leaves.
