Current Dates and Times across the Caribbean.... Standard Time is still in effect across much of the Caribbean and the surrounding landmasses shown on the map. There are major exceptions as the Bahamas, Cuba, Turks and Caicos, Mexico (including Cancun and Cozumel) and the U.S. State of Florida have all converted to Daylight Saving Time. (DST) Note that all Daylight Saving Times will return to Standard Time in the fall of 2008. The countries and island groups of the Caribbean extend across four time zones when Venezuela and (Isla de Margarita) are included. Portions of Florida, Mexico, Central America and South America are displayed on this map for both geographical and time zone perspective. UTC and GMT an update.... The worldwide standard for coordinated universal time, formerly known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), is now abbreviated as UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Some sources still refer to it as UTC/GMT and some web browsers, I.E. Mozilla, still display it as GMT. The UTC Time (shown directly below) is the standard time zone from which all other worldwide time zones are based upon. It never observes daylight saving time. UTC Time at Greenwich, England
