1 and 2. The Petronas Towers
The Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, are the tallest buildings in Kuala Lumpur. These twin skyscrapers are each 1,483 feet high and have 88 floors. The Petronas Towers is a major landmark of Kuala Lumpur and is visited by nearly every tourist to the city. They were the world’s tallest structures between 1998 and 2004.
2. Four Seasons Place
Adding to the stunning beauty of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline is its third tallest building, the Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. It is a residential and commercial building that hosts a shopping mall, a hotel, and numerous apartments. The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts owns this building. It is located next to the Petronas Tower and is 1,125 feet high. It has 65 floors. The construction of the building was started in 2013 and completed in 2018.
3. The Telekom Tower
The 1,017 feet tall Telekom Tower is Kuala Lumpur’s fourth tallest building. It is located in Lembah Pantai in the southwestern part of the city. Its shape represents a sprouting bamboo shoot. It has 55 floors. The construction of the Telekom Tower began in 1998 and it was completed in 2001. The building has many eco-friendly features including 22 open sky gardens alternating every three floors.
4. Ilham Tower
The 899 feet tall Ilham Tower is Kuala Lumpur’s fourth tallest building. It is located at Jalan Binjai. The tower has 60 floors. Its construction was started in 2011 and completed in 2016. It hosts several offices and serviced apartments.
5. Petronas Tower 3
The Petronas Tower 3 ranks as the city’s fifth highest building. It is located in Kuala Lumpur and stands 876 feet tall and has 60 floors. The massive Suria KLCC shopping mall is located in the building. Many multinational and national corporations have their offices in this building. The construction of the building began in 2006 and was completed in 2011.
