The city of Las Vegas chapels host an average of 315 weddings per day!
At 12 o’clock midnight October 1st, 1910, a strict anti-gambling law went into effect in Nevada. The law even forbade flipping a coin for the price of a drink. It didn't last long!
36.7 million visitors come to play Las Vegas slot machines every year, and no wonder - there's nearly 200,000 to chose from.
Las Vegas avoided the worst of the Great Depression due to the Hoover Dam construction project, and the influx of gambling money when the Casinos became legal in 1931.

Las Vegas Attractions
With an average nightly hotel cost of $66 and the low price Las Vegas ‘All You Can Eat Buffets', just about anybody can afford to stay in this city with its 15,000 miles of neon light tubing.
Most of the Casino hotels offer special package deals, free chips and vouchers, and tickets to some of the hottest shows on the Vegas Strip. As long as you can come up with bus or airfare, and some gambling money to burn, the rest of the Las Vegas vacation experience is very affordable.
The Las Vegas StripThe famous Las Vegas Strip is home to 18 of the 25 largest hotels in the world with a total of 67,000 hotel rooms. The Vegas Strip is actually outside the City limits on 4.1 miles of Las Vegas Boulevard South in unincorporated Clark County, Nevada. The Strip grew up almost overnight in the 1930’s. One of the most famous early casinos was The Flamingo, now the Flamingo Hilton, which was built by the infamous ‘Bugsy’ Siegel. 
The Luxor Egypt HotelThe Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. The hotel is a 36 story black pyramid with a massive Sphinx of Egypt replica and giant obelisk guarding the front entrance. At night a brilliant beam of Xenon light exits the very top of the Luxor pyramid shooting straight to heaven and visible all the way to Los Angeles, California.
