Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco in Italian) is the highest mountain in the Alps and in Western Europe. It stands 15,781 ft (4,810 m ) above sea level. The local town of Chamonix was the site of the first Winter Olympics, and during the winter months it's packed with skiers from around the world.
