Curacao's pleasant climate attracts tourists throughout the year as temperatures vary little from the yearly average of 29 °C (84 °F).
Curacao has a semiarid climate with a dry season from January to September and a wet season from October to December. Yearly precipitation barely reaches 500 mm (19.7 in), with most of it falling in late October.
Curacao lies outside the hurricane belt, and a landfall of a hurricane in Curacao has not occurred since the National Hurricane Center started tracking hurricanes.
