Thomas Fortune spent his life as a journalist writing for papers like the New York Freeman. He wrote more than 300 editorials and published over 20 books over his writing career. Fortune resided in his Red Bank home from 1901 to 1915. Today, his former home is a monument to Fortune's legacy of promoting social justice.

Princeton is home to one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. Founded in 1746, Princeton still emphasizes learning and innovation. Several figures have earned a Princeton diploma. These orations would discuss his monumental theory of relativity. In 1936, he purchased a house on 112 Mercer Street and resided there until he died in 1955. On January 7, 1976, Einstein's Princeton home became a National Historic Landmark.
