Climate:

Suriname's position - just to the north of the Equator - results in tropical weather conditions, with hot and humid days, moderately cooled by trade winds.

There are two rainy seasons, with rather heavy afternoon showers, (December - January) and the longer rainy season (April to July).

The average daily high temperature in Paramaribo is near 85° F, with higher average temps in the low 90s (September - November). Average lows remain in the mid 70s throughout the year.
