Climate:
Georgia enjoys a typically mild southern U.S. climate. Very, very seldom, with the exception of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northeast, does snow fall in Georgia, much less accumulate.

Summers are pleasant, though hot and humid, with statewide highs averaging in the mid-80s; mid-summer temperatures in the low 90's are frequently the norm.

Winter brings cooler temperatures with daily highs central and north in the mid-40s. Colder weather is common in the Blue Ridge Mountains, while warmer winter conditions prevail along the coastal areas and near the Florida border.

The entire state receives generous amounts of rainfall. For a more detailed look at annual Georgia precipitation levels, view this precipitation map
