ATTRACTIONS: (a few major)

Haiti was devastated by a massive earthquake in January, 2010 and recovery is still underway.

At one time Haiti was known as La Perle des Antilles" -- "the Pearl of the Caribbean" and was France's richest colony.

Due to the destruction by the earthquake of the major infrastructure, the threat of cholera and the risk of crime, the U.S. State Department (see below), the Goverment of Canada, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office of Great Britain and others, advise against all non-essential travel at this time.

We will continue to monitor the reconstruction efforts and update travel information and tourism sites as information is made available.
