Most of the Caribbean experiences a sunny and warm, tropical climate throughout the year.
Very few places in the Caribbean experience high temperatures above 100°F (38°C), as daily high temps average near 80°F (27°C), while in the far-southern islands the mid to high 80's are common.
Infrequent waves of cold air from North America do sweep across Cuba and the Bahamas in the Winter months and temperatures occasionally fall below 60°F (15°C) in those countries.
>Across the Caribbean the most significant rainfall occurs from May to October. November through April are the dry months, but brief tropical showers are almost a daily experience.
The Atlantic hurricane season does affect the central and northern Caribbean from June through early-November, but advance warnings provide the needed protection for travelers.
