Travel to Georgia
Georgia, now that the post-Soviet problems have been resolved, along with a thriving economy, is rapidly developing its tourism opportunities.
Georgia is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe - with its diverse landscapes, ranging from mountains, to tropical forests and a semi-desert.
Located on the Black Sea, the Georgian resorts and beaches are very inviting and the subtropical climate allows a swimming and sun-bathing season of over six months. For the winter sports enthusiasts, the Caucasus Mountains offer excellent skiing opportunities
Georgia's historic and cultural resources include over 12,000 monuments, 150 museums, cathedrals, churches and bridges - some of them centuries old.
The people are friendly and hospitable and greatly enjoy entertaining guests to their country.

- Times to Travel: The best time to visit Georgia is at the beginning or end of the summer. Mid-summer can be quite hot and humid, although the beaches are inviting with their subtropical weather. However, the mountains are popular all summer with the sunny and cool climate.
Snow falls in the Caucasus Mountains beginning in November, so the ski enthusiasts have a longer than normal season.
The mountains also protect Georgia from the northern icy winds, so it seldom, if ever, freezes.
