Since the end of the Second World War, Brussels has been a main center for international politics. Hosting principal EU institutions as well as the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

In most major cities in Europe you can easily rent a bike to ride. It's so simple, you simply pay a small fee, then grab the bike of choice and off you go. You're supposed to return it to one of the rental stands and most people do. That would never work in America as all of the bikes would be stolen on the first day.
Of course they sell waffles in Belgium, and this shop in Brussels was no exception. Mine was covered with ice cream and so was I.

All across western Europe beggars are commonly found in public places such as street corners. This one (a Romanian woman) was begging in Brussels near Grand Place. The child is part of the con and this woman should be arrested for child abuse.
