Laos experiences a tropical monsoon climate, with a clearly defined rainy season from May through October, a cool and dry season from November through February, and a dependable hot and dry season March and April.
Conditions are humid with daily high temperatures in the mid to low 80's (26°C) through the spring and summer months, with cooler temps in the higher elevations of the central and northern mountains. Winter lows below 55°F (12°C) are uncommon.
