Positioned on the southern edge of the tropics, in general terms, Zimbabwe seasons are just the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring is September through October, Summer: late October through mid-March, Fall: late March through April, and Winter is May through August.

Much of the fall and most of winter in Zimbabwe is dry and cool. The rainy season, or Green Season, November through April is quite hot with the heaviest rains falling in the eastern mountain forests. The far south is arid with very little rainfall.
