Sudan has tropical weather conditions (warm and humid) in the south, while in the deserts of the north, conditions are hot and dry for most of the year.

The dry season runs January to March, and is plagued by sandstorms, some of which completely block out the sun. The rainy season runs from July to September.

Average temperatures for the country range from 105°F (41°C) in the summer months to 59°F (15°C) in the winter months.
