What Large Music Festivals Were Canceled Because Of The Coronavirus

It does not matter if you are a musician with just a few dozen followers in your local pub or the world's biggest pop superstar. In essence, concerts around the globe are canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It does not matter if you are a musician with just a few dozen followers in your local pub or the world's biggest pop superstar. In essence, concerts around the globe are canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. It is a difficult time, more so for your local musician that it is for Beyoncé.

Still, we should everyone feel how we already miss live music concerts. And we are sure Beyoncé misses performing on stage, despite her financial status. To compile a whole list of everything that was canceled seemed like an impossible task. Honestly, a depressing task, but here are just some of the event music lovers around the world miss out on this year.

Another music event you will have to reschedule for next year is this Donington's tribute to hard rock and metal music. Kiss and Iron Maiden were the stars of the show this year, and all of you who expected to see them in June, will not be able to.

Finally, to count all the names from the music industry that had to cancel their concerts would create a long list of names, but to name just a few artists that had to disappoint the fans all over the world:

Rolling Stones postponed their tour of North America, The Foo Fighters canceled all of their tour plans, Mariah Carey will not sing in Hawaii before November, and Rage Against The Machine had to postpone their official comeback.

Another great British music festival that was supposed to host Kraftwerk, Massive Attack, and Tame Impala will also not be organized. The official news from the organizers says that it will not happen this year.

One of the most famous country music festivals has met the same fate as the rest of them. It was due to happen on April 24-36, but it is now postponed until late March.

Coachella

Coachella is postponed until October.

The state of California is also suffering from the coronavirus outbreak, and all the regulations it brings to everyday life, so Coachella is postponed until October. It was supposed to happen reasonably soon, in mid-April. Still, due to the declared state of emergency in California, it is not possible to organize a gathering of such a large scale.

This event that was scheduled in New Orleans for April and May is also postponed. The organizing committee still did not officially cancel the festival, so there is still hope we might visit it later this year.

If you like electronic music, you were looking forward to this year's edition of this festival in Miami. However, for hundreds of thousands of fans that visit the 3-day-long event every year, this is not going to happen because the Ultra Music Festival Miami was canceled.

In the land of the blues, Austin, Texas, events are also being postponed indefinitely. Unfortunately, the same destiny hit the South by Southwest festival, because sponsors withdrew from the event. After Apple and Netflix backed out, it was evident that the event was lost.

Glastonbury

Last year, almost 200,000 people were attending this festival. This year was looking to be the same, with more than 130 thousand tickets sold. However, this festival, which was supposed to happen between 24 and 28 of June this year, has been canceled.
