Climate:
Vermont, like all of the New England States, enjoys the four seasons.
There are exceptions, but in general terms the spring months are a bit chilly and often rainy, summers are mild and very pleasant, fall days are beautiful and brisk, while winters are cold and snowy.
Across the state, average high temperatures in July reach into the mid 70's, while in January, high temperatures hover in the low 20's.
Vermont receives (
on average) nearly 40 inches of rainfall each year, with much higher amounts in the mountains. In the Green Mountains, yearly snowfall amounts run from 100 to 250 inches.
