Climate Summers in Oklahoma are hot, humid and rather windy; the pleasant evenings and cooler mornings of fall merge into colder winter temperatures with moderate snowfall and freezing conditions.
Early evening thunderstorms are common in summer, and tornados strike the state on a regular basis. Oklahoma is in America's Tornado Alley.
January is the coldest month, with average high temperatures near 25 degrees. July is the warmest month, with average high temperatures around 93 degrees.
