Colorado lays claim to over 300 days of annual sunshine statewide, and to more than 300 inches of snow in the mountains on a yearly basis. In fact, it snows somewhere in Colorado every month of the year.
Summer high temps in the lower elevation areas of eastern Colorado, as well as in the mountain foothills fronting Denver, Colorado Springs and Trinidad, etc., reach into the low 80's, with morning lows in the 50s.
In the mountain regions, summer highs reach the low 70's, with lows in the 40's. In the winter months, daily highs average near 40 degrees, while lows hovering around 15 degrees. Humidity in Colorado is very low.
