Specifically positioned in east-central Canada, a part of North America, Ontario is bordered by the Canadian provinces of
Manitoba and
Quebec, the U.S. States of
Minnesota,
Michigan and
New York, and by Hudson Bay, James Bay, and four of the Great Lakes.
