Shetland Islands landforms

The Shetland Islands archipelago consists of approximately 100 islands, of which only 16 are inhabited.

Generally speaking, the islands are hilly, treeless and windswept, with rugged coastal cliffs.

Ronas Hill is the highest point of Shetland, and rises 1,480 ft (450 m).
