Elba
![]() The Island of Elba is located off the west coast of Italy in the Tuscan Archipelago. ![]()
Elba is the third largest Italian island, next to Sicily and Sardinia, and is easily accessed by ferry or hydrofoil. Current population is near 36,000, and Portoferraio with 12,000 residents is the largest town.

This beautiful island is a popular tourism destination as it presents an almost perfect climate spring through fall. In addition, Elba is home to a spectacular (volcanic in origin) landscape of steep cliffs, rugged hills, crystal-clear waters, historic castles, quaint little villages and numerous sandy beaches.
