Bourgogne

Bourgogne, positioned in east-central France, and drained by a wide assortment of rivers, is famed as a gastronomic center and for its tasty Burgundy wines. 

The most revered wines produced in the Bourgogne region (those commonly referred to as Burgundies) are red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes or white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. 

As the capital of the Burgundy region, Dijon reigns over some of the best wine country in the world. The city is also famous for its Dijon mustard, even though around 90% of all mustard seeds used are imported, mainly from Canada.
