This city is widely known for its musical history, one that's handed down to each new generations. One of its favorite sons in fact won a handful of Tony Awards in the 1950s. (Meredith Willson, the creator of the famous musical "The Music Man" was born here. Each year the city celebrates that musical heritage with an event called The North Iowa Band Festival. Bands from across the midwest compete en route of the parade to be named the best band)
