According to local legend, the somewhat unusual name of this destination is the direct result of a reversal of letters. (According to popular tale, in the days following the Oklahoma land rush, some enterprising settlers decided to set up a chuckwagon and cook for their fellow pioneers, hanging a sign that read "DINE". Some other, more free-spirited settlers, turned that sign upside down, to read, of course, "ENID". The name, as they say, stuck. Regarding the Twitter follower clue: the musical Oklahoma was based on a 1931 play named, Green Grow the Lilacs, I.E. Verdant Lilacs)
