With abundant fishing opportunities available throughout the calendar year, no wonder it's on the must-visit list of regional anglers. (The lake is covered with ice fisherman during typical midwestern winters) NOTE for Twitter followers: John Cougar Mellencamp, of "Here's a Little Ditty about Jack and Diane" fame, as well as many other songs, lives on the edge of the lake)
